HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

Originally founded in 1975 as a sole proprietorship performing traditional locksmith trade in Denver, Colorado area.

Throughout the 1980's, Shield increased its security expertise into the electronics field specializing in large card access control systems, CCTV, and alarms for its growing commercial client base. Shield's ability to provide logical solutions to real problems led to numerous patents and commercial products all aimed to improve security. The InstaKey® Security System is but one of these patented products.

In the 1990's, Shield transitioned its business into one that is primarily devoted to the development, distribution, and support of the InstaKey® Security System.
